The above comment is not from me, but some fucker has managed to take control of my username. I've already sent a message to whoever runs the site after seeing another comment under my name which I hadn't sent, but no one has bothered to reply.

I'D LIKE TO KNOW WHO THE CUNT IS THAT'S DOING THIS.

COULD SOMEONE PLEASE SORT THIS OUT.

I bet that the old DRUID QUEENS will never set foot in the boozer again now that it's been refurbished.

Especially if you're a camp farmer travelling hours and hours away from the West Country.

You're too kind.

Here's my latest piece for East BLAM

E6 NEWS, FOOD & DRINKTHE ERSTWHILE PARROT COFFEE HOUSE, UPTON PARK

Another Coffee shop, I hear you say? It’s Upton Park’s turn to get a new and awesome coffee house, making this a fabulous February for all Far Easties. This month started with the long-awaited opening of the Red Lion pub on High Street South, then the Evening Standard bigged up East Ham in their property section and now comes the The Erstwhile Parrot Coffee House. The official opening day isSaturday 24 February, but East Blam were allowed in to snoop around and get you the scoop. #undercoverjournalismyeah

Taking tea and coffee seriously

While cafés have recently sprung up around Central Park like daffodils in March, The Erstwhile Parrot Coffee House will not only cover a different patch (Upton Park-er’s squeak with delight!) but also offer something fresh — and we’re not just talking about the delicious coffee from Exmouth Coffee Roasters and the award-winning pastries and cakes from Hackney’s Galeta bakery they’ll serve.

Owner Anthony told us “We take coffee and tea seriously, and we take freshly baked treats seriously, but we’re also planning to offer a book swap and hopefully some community events further down the line, such as film and music nights. We’ll also be doing up the garden in time for the summer”.

Right up our (Green) Street

Anthony is from Walthamstow (errr, Awesomestowplease) but has lived in the far east for over ten years and wanted to create a coffee shop here to rival those that helped transform the part of London where he grew up. He and his business partner, Sharon will be running The Erstwhile Parrot, which is located on Green Street, across the road from the new flats (#uptongardens #justsayin’) being built on the site where Lionel Messi dazzled Upton Park just over three years ago.

The shop is still a work in progress so while Sharon and Anthony were putting the finishing touches to the inviting interior (all vintage lamps and fireside chairs), the East Blam team grabbed a flat white and a cuppa, relaxed on the comfy sofas, and had a gossip about their future plans.

The Erstwhile Parrot plan to serve light breakfasts and lunches. Sourdough toast, Granola, Homemade quiche and Soups are all on the menu as well as excellent coffee, so we promise it will fast become your regular morning pit stop.

Not long to go now… See you all there on Saturday

You can't walk round East Ham without getting mugged or attacked with acid?

I managed it everyday for the last decade.

Hahahahaha
Come and have a Sunday roast but don’t drink as you’ll have to jump straight in your car, can’t walk home as you’ll get held up at knifepoint or have acid chucked in your face.
Great place for the kids
Gonna take a long while to gentrify it round there.
